Neuqua Valley’s 2022 Improv Show recap

Camila Reyes, Staff Writer

Neuquas Theatre Department opened up this 2022-2023 school year with its production of The Improv Show. An event full of comedy and fun, many talented Neuqua students demonstrated their skills and joy for acting, while being directed by one of Neuqua’s teachers, Emily Fritz.

Students were divided into two separate casts, performing and acting out a variety of shows with the sole use of the art of improv. No script was prepared beforehand. Students simply went off of the suggested prompts from the audience to kick off the games, performing a great show.

Cast member, Amy Wang, expressed how she has “always loved the Improv show because it’s a super friendly environment but also super energetic. It’s always nice to perform for the audience too. Watching the games is so entertaining because everyone makes such funny choices and they are the randomest things ever.”

With such a great and talented cast this school year, the Improv Show was an obvious success full of fun and memorable laughs for all involved. Be sure to check out the next production of the Children’s Show: Alice @ Wonderland on October 7 at 4:30pm and October 8 at 1pm & 6pm.
