Talking vitamin D, omega-3, and training

Cancer is an increasingly popular topic in today’s world and will only continue to become more relevant. Research into cancer prevention has taken place for many decades, but recently, it has shown some light on a few common practices.

A clinical trial published in the “Frontiers in Aging medical journal found that the following reduced the risk of cancer, overall, by 61%: Exercise, obviously, helps the immune system sustain itself and function more efficiently. It should be something that everyone does everyday anyway. Omega-3 fatty acids help prevent normal cells from turning into cancer cells. Vitamin D slows down the growth of cancer cells. On their own, these are only small functions of these activities/supplements, not doing much other than help the body a little bit; together they make up for a significant decrease in cancer, though. The 61% reduction is important considering one worrying fact: Cancer prevention and research has improved greatly, but the trend is that cancer diagnoses are increasing. No need to fret, though, as doing the previously listed prevention methods and others can greatly reduce the chance of you or your loved ones from getting cancer. Not only that, but Vitamin D is vital for physical and mental functions; not having enough can even cause depression-like symptoms. Exercising can help with depression as well, so you can fight the risk of cancer while fighting the amplification or onset of depression too. Combined, these aren’t just good for cancer prevention and combating symptoms of depression, these are all vital components to a healthy lifestyle. There is no miracle formula to preventing all dangers, losses, and injuries, but that isn’t what life is about.
