Once again, the Wildcats have dominated the courts, pools, and gyms this year’s Winter season! Here are the results and some highlights from each Winter sport!
Cheer:
-Top 3 at every regular season competition
-3rd in the State
-Two Illinois High School Cheerleading Coaches Organization All-State athletes
Swim & Dive:
-Won the DVC Conference at all three levels: Varsity, JV, and F/S
-Placed 2nd out of 11 teams at Sectionals
-Finished 10th in the state at the state meet
-Qualified the 3rd most swimmers of any team for state
-Achieved the 13th top-10 finish in the last 20 years
Basketball:
Boys:
-6-game winning streak
-Advanced to the Regional Semifinals
-Regional finals appearance
-6-2 record- Tied 1st at conference
-2nd at DeKalb Christmas Tournament
Girls:
-3 Conference wins
-Three Montini Tournament Player Recognitions
Gymnastics:
-All levels undefeated in the DVC
-All levels DVC champions
-Highest team score in 10 years (140.05)
Bowling:
-Won the DVC Conference
-Qualified for the IHSA State Meet
-Placed 3rd in the Large Team division
-Placed 2nd at Sectionals
Wrestling:
Boys:
-Two Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association State Qualifiers
-JV Invitational Champions
Girls:
-2 Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association State Finishers
-Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association State Championship
-Placed 1st at Sectionals
