This year, finals for seniors are held on May 20th and 21st and finals for freshman, sophomores and juniors are held on May 29th, 30th and 31st. It is important to finish off the school year strong so here are some tips and advice to help prepare for the spring semester finals.
Organize your time wisely. This means planning and studying ahead by staying on track. Make sure you prioritize the classes that are most important so that you can feel prepared for them. This means looking at which finals can and will make a difference to your grade.
Take advantage of any study materials teachers have given you and use those resources. Whether it be a study guide or notes, make sure you know the material and fill them out ahead of them, rather than putting it off.
Find a friend to study with. Studying for tests can be hard, but doing it alone can be harder. If you have a friend who is taking the same class as you, try reviewing together and quizzing each other on topics so that you can both help one another stay on track.
Take breaks during your study sessions. Staying focused can be important but during this time it is crucial to not overwork yourself and get burnt out. Taking breaks in between can be as simple as drinking water and going on walks or doing a hobby for a little bit. This can give you the time to clear your mind and be ready to tackle the next task.
Remember, it is important to put your mental health first during finals week and congrats on almost being done with a long school year. You are nearly there!
