This year’s prom will be the first to be held at the Matrix Club in Naperville. After 20 years at Drury Lane, Neuqua has finally found a new venue that can host a school our size, which has been difficult given that there are only so many venues that can accommodate in our area. When the Matrix was first built, Neuqua immediately began communicating with them to look at the options for prom.

Drury Lane is about a 40 minute drive from Neuqua, so it will be much more convenient for students to have prom in our hometown. Transportation can often be expensive, so this will save money, as well as time. Many parents are also more comfortable with their kids celebrating a bit closer to home. 

The Matrix is a new build, so it will be extra special for seniors this year. Neuqua Activity Director Kerry Cahill explains that this venue is different from Drury Lane because its “location is close to NV and very easy for students to get to, there will be some food changes and the entrance will provide a great background for pictures.”

As the formal event approaches, students cannot wait to experience the brand new venue in all its glory. This will truly be a special goodbye for seniors!
