School Photographers of America (SPOA) have recently announced the winners of their fall 2023 Student Photo Contest. The SPOA is the national trade association for school yearbooks and photography. In this year’s contest, students from both middle schools and high schools across the nation submitted their pictures representing one of the three categories: Sports, Student Life, and Creative. These were chosen since they are the most popular categories used in current yearbooks.
Sony partnered with SPOA to provide the grand champions of this competition with brand-new Sony camera kits in order to empower these future photographers. This competition aims to display the true contribution modern technology has had on the developmental stages of young artists. Most kids are now equipped with their very own camera 24/7 which builds valuable experience.
One of our very own Neuqua students, Ethan Gallagher, earned the title of national champion for the Sports category, winning not only a letter of recognition but also a Sony A7c camera kit. His artistic portrayal of a member of the football team showcased his talent, technique, and incredible skills acquired at such a young age. Congratulations Ethan, and we do not doubt that this is the beginning of a successful career!
