A long-standing tradition and event at Neuqua Valley took place in the auditorium last week for a couple of hours of laughs and giggles that kept the entire audience on their toes.
From the display of talent to the inspirational “DTed Talk” (apparently trademarked), to the entertaining skits, every one of the contestants had a chance to show off their skills and personalities.
I would just like to start off by mentioning Mark, who sang “Banana Pancakes” while making banana pancakes and then gifted them as a prom-posal. Mark had the entire audience in awe. Honestly, something no one was expecting and it was so sweet to see a gesture such as this one.
The show also had outfit competitions, one with the most creative styles being the travel category. Charlie pulled out the Mickey Mouse ears and Disney pins, while Grant wore some kind of Norwegian outfit. Not quite sure about that one, but he looked cool.
The best part of the whole event, and many would have to agree with me, is Ian’s performance and his accomplice, Blipo the sock puppet. Ian and Blipo took us on a journey filled with romance, comedy, and twists that left the audience in both shock and laughter.
There were so many contestants that showed up and were ready to entertain and compete for the title of Mr. NVHS. However, Drew Tedrow came out on top and was crowned “king” as a result. The show collected toiletries for a good cause and allowed audience members to vote for their favorite peer.
