“Alliance for the Children” is a nonprofit organization with a goal to provide the basic necessities
needed for every child. On Tuesday, November 14, Freshman advisory classes and Take 9 teachers
gave snowman shaped tags to their students with a different child’s wish on each of the tags. Neuqua
Valley students each picked up a tag, and had to gift the child based on their wish list.
This is the 25th year “Alliance for the Children” has been helping kids in need through Neuqua. The
program was first brought to Neuqua by Mrs. Paula Mueller, a chemistry teacher at Neuqua Valley.
Sadly, she passed away two months ago, and this year’s “Alliance for the Children” program is being
done in her honor.
On November 4, the Interact Club and Student Council also had a chance to host the annual blanket
making for kids in need, which was done through “Alliance for the Children.” This was also done in
honor of Mrs. Paula Mueller. Over 200 blankets were made to give to children in need, and it was a
beautiful way to honor what Mrs. Mueller had started.
“Alliance for the Children” will continue to serve children for many years to come.
