For a lot of students, Veterans Day is just another one of those national holidays that come and go on the calendar, not ever giving it a second thought.
Now more than ever, with the war in Israel, we should be mindful of those who are and who have served in the U.S. Military. For a lot of students at Neuqua Valley,
it is a day to celebrate those in their family or friends they may or may not have known.
Neuqua Valley has an annual Veterans Day ceremony, and just like always, it is on Veterans Day in the auditorium. There will be multiple speakers, such as
Dave Jordan (an Air Force Veteran) who is involved in the VFW and served in two wars, students who have made the decision to join the U.S. Military after high school,
and a performance from Neuqua’s choir.
Additionally, there will be a slideshow containing the family members of students who wish to honor them. If you would like to have someone you know included in the
slideshow who has served or is currently serving in our military, please make a submission on the link located on the student splash page at neuquastudent.org
