Valentine’s Day activity ideas for you, yourself and maybe even your significant other
Whether you’re single or taken by the person of your dreams—or in between—Valentine’s Day should be celebrated in full swing. Whether it is something as simple as taking a long, dramatic candlelight bath by yourself or more elaborate like going to the movie theater with your significant other, there is something for everyone to enjoy on this delightful holiday. Without further ado, here is a list of some ideas on how to spend the day this year.
Taking a Long, Dramatic Bath
While this may seem trivial, taking a bath does not have to be boring! If you spice up your bath with candles, macarons, and bath bombs (bonus points for some jazzy music), you can romantizice your Valentine’s Day alone to an unimaginable degree. This soothing yet dramatic ambience can make your day a thousand times better, and will refresh you with a new vigor for the day unlike anything else!
Dinner Date
Ah, yes, the customary dinner date. Though it may seem cliche, going on a dinner date with your significant other (or with your friends!) is by far one of the best ways to spend Valentine’s Day! Talking while feasting on food is truly like no other, and what’s even better is that you have your partner or friends by your side! After all, this is a cliche for a reason!
Buy Yourself Chocolates
To quell the pain of not having a significant other, what better thing to do than gorge on chocolates! Buy yourself a nice, big box of assorted chocolates that you won’t stop thinking about for days to come (which is way better than actually going on a date!!), and watch a comfort movie along with it to further enhance your experience.
Get Your Nails Done
Nothing in this world can give you more pleasure than getting your nails done. A nice and festive manicure or pedicure will transport you to a land of bliss, and even if you don’t have a partner to celebrate the holiday with, there is no saying you can’t get cute Valentine’s Day-themed nails to commemorate the day (nails are better than relationships, anyways).
Plan a Movie Marathon
You can find peace like no other while watching movies, so why not spend the day relaxing and binging on movies! Whether it be a fun rom-com to observe the holiday or a fast-paced thriller more suited to your tastes, there is something for everyone, and you’re sure to have a great, calming time!
Have a Valentine’s Day Bake-off
Fight for the title of ‘best baker’ in a cutthroat baking competition with your partner or friends, and bonus points if you make your baked goods heart-shaped! To further add to the experience, put on a baking show in the background to match the vibe!
Have a Food Board Night
Whether you’re with your significant other or your best friends, it is a great idea to have a fun food board night! Pick a certain type of food board to bring (whether it be a cheese board, a dessert board or even a Mediterranean-themed food board!) and vote for the best one, all while having the time of your life stuffing your face with food!
Karaoke the Night Away
Ending off on a good note, there is definitely nothing better than singing your heart out in a karaoke battle with your partner or friends! Put on your favorite song and sing the night away, and it will truly be a night to remember for years to come!
