If you are a student and an artist, you can submit your artwork and/or writing to Neuqua Valley’s annual literary magazine, The Essence. The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2022 and the categories are: short story fiction, personal essay, other prose, poetry, painting, photography, mixed media, drawing, or you can submit in the “other” category  if your work doesn’t fit the previous groups. The theme for this year’s magazine is Catharsis, or the release of strong emotional weight, mostly relevant to this past year’s complications in the world because of a global pandemic and rising crises, politically, environmentally and globally.
