Abby Apeland, Abby is a junior and a second year member of The Echo. She is involved in Track and Field, focusing on pole vault. In her free time, when she has any, she is scrolling through Instagram or reading all her Webtoons. She also loves hanging out and ranting about work, school and other stuff with her friends. In the future, she hopes to live in a city, have a fluffy dog and pole vault in college. Live. Love. Laugh.

Looking for something fun and charitable to do this week? Pop into Serendipity, a resale store that has partnered with Little Friends, a school that helps disadvantaged kids with down syndrome and/or autism through their many educational, vocational and therapeutic programs.

Originally located in the heart of Downtown Naperville, Serendipity  has remained a local must-visit staple, generating local rapport and wholesome memories. As a store built entirely on donations from others, customers are offered a wide range of selections to choose from; from old sentimental wedding dresses to oriental, antique lamps, there’s a lot to choose from.

Visiting the store, it doesn’t look like much; however, after delving into the price-organized and colorful shelves, you’re guaranteed to find something serendipitously; on par with the store’s name.

Until Sept. 13, 2021 , Serendipity has a sale where a large selection of clothes are $1, definitely not a sale to miss out on. Sales will help and empower Little Friends and the community they serve, so drop by their new location at 461 Illinois Route 59 in Aurora, IL with some cash, and find your serendipity.
