Looking through Andy Warhol’s Silver Screen
An inside look at the Art Institute of Chicago’s newest exhibit

The Art Institute of Chicago recently featured works from massively influential pop artist Andy Warhol in an exhibit called “Andy Warhol- From A to B and Back Again.” Warhol, and the Pop Art movement as a whole, focused on simultaneously celebrating and critiquing popular culture through celebrity figures, everyday objects and common culture. This gallery features several works that are representative of the different time periods and phases of Warhol’s socially inspired art.
This print of a Coca Cola bottle is a clear example of Pop Art, which is a style of art that showcases popular media through art.
